Hydrogen fueled cars: There is currently a hybrid, but can hydrogen completely replace fossil fules? | |
Pros and cons to this?
Separating water? equations?
Answers:
1Hydrogen will replace fossil fuels as we gain newer technology. At first it will be expensive to run a car on Hydrogen but as with anything else cost will decrease over time. Hydrogen is a very dangerous element to use but we have an almost limitless supply of it in our water resources here on Earth. The equation is rather simple. 2H2O yields 4H + 2O

Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles should really be compared to Battery powered Cars. The Hydrogen stored & the Fuel Cell engine replace the Batteries. Both of these vehicle designs move the Fossil Fuels to the Electricity Generating side of the equation.. or process. Both Battery operated Cars and Hydrogen Fuel Cells are REFUELED or Charged from Grid Electrical Sources. How the electricity is made to supply the GRID is a separate question. Electricity in the Grid is supplied by Coal, Natural Gas, Nuclear, Hydro-Electric Damns, Wind, and Solar
